Dante's Inferno

The furthest reaches of Dante's Inferno are ice cold.
"Sleep" in Canto 1:10 of The Inferno is according to Peter Armour; " an image of torpor, the loss of intellectual, moral and spiritual awareness." It is impossible to transform a "heart of stone" (or ice) with education alone. God can't fill someone already completely full of themselves. https://digitaldante.columbia.edu/dante/divine-comedy/
